Smith Optics motor sports supporter

The Smith Optics company has been a longtime supporter of motor sports, including supercross and motocross with sponsorship of such racing and freestyle athletes as legend Travis Pastrana as well as two-time women’s motocross champion Ashley Fiolek. The sponsorship opportunity gives Smith Optics the chance to enhance its brand and strengthen its relationship and presence with fans and athletes of the action sports community.
“We’re really excited and feel fortunate to have this opportunity,” said Mark Phares, Smith Optics GM of Motorsports. “Arenacross provides a great audience and rider base for our broad product offering – it will surely help to catapult our brand awareness to a whole new level. Be sure to stop by the Smith display on the concourse at an Arenacross race near you.”

Founded in 1965 by orthodontist Dr. Bob Smith, an innovator action sports enthusiast in his own right who hand made goggles in exchange for ski lift tickets, Smith Optics has grown to become a major player in the eyewear industry.

Smith Optics has built a strong legacy in the four-plus decades of involvement in action sports,” said Jayme Dalsing, director of arenacross, Feld Motor Sports. “Their motocross line of goggles have been worn by some of the biggest names in the sport and Feld Motor Sports is looking forward to seeing what the brand will bring to the AMA Arenacross Series.

With moto technology that includes roll-offs, fog-free lenses, and advanced lens and frame innovation, in addition to an extensive lineup of sunglasses that provide the same originality, Smith offers fans a must-have lineup of eyewear.
