The 17th Annual Yamaha Pro/AM California State Championships

Take place this weekend on Saturday 17th Annual Yamaha Pro/AM California State Championships and Sunday Saturday features Grand Prix racing and on Sunday is motocross racing on the USGP courseSoCal Old Timers MX Club Racing races both days on the back track

San Bernardino, Calif. - December 7, 2010 - It's going to be another exciting weekend of racing out at Glen Helen Raceway, with two-day action from both the long-time running Yamaha Pro/AM California State Championships and the SoCal Old Timers MX Club Racing.

The 17th running of the Yamaha Pro/AM California State Championships are split into a two-day format. Racing gets underway on Saturday with the Grand Prix races. Held on a specially designed course that takes riders throughout the amazing Glen Helen Raceway facility, the Grand Prix races bring excitement and fun and are always a favorite amongst competitors.

The racing carries over to Sunday, when racers take to Glen Helen's world-class USGP track to compete in a traditional, two-moto motocross race. Champions in each class are decided on combined scores from both races.

The SoCal Old Timers MX Club Racing series, which brings together Southern California's older motocross racers, also races both days.
