Harley Davidson Helmets

Harley Davidson is a lifestyle brand. It's not all about the motorcycle, as much as that is the center piece. The style, freedom, and what they all represent is what it's all about. Motorcyclists should wear a helmet, and that includes Harley riders. Harley Davidson riders are certainly catered for in this area, many styles have evolved and suit the look of the Harley brand.

Harley Davidson motorcycle helmets come in 4 main designs. Half helmet, 3/4 helmet, modular and full face in ascending protection order.

Half helmet style covers just the top part of the head and are similar to old style military helmets. They offer the least protection covering just the top of the skull whilst exposing the face and lower part of the head.
3/4 helmets offer the same protection as half helmets but also cover the back and side of the head. They expose the face and chin area.

Full face helmets cover the entire skull from top to bottom leaving only an area around the eyes uncovered by the main helmet material so the rider still has vision. This area is usually protected by a clear plastic material.

Modular helmets are a combination of the other designs and have movable and replaceable parts. They are favored by people who need to regularly remove their helmet to talk to people such as law enforcement/security types.

The classic Harley Davidson helmet style would be the half helmet style maximizing the freedom aspect by allowing more wind in your face as you ride along. They are usually in full black color too. However modern Harleys are slightly different beasts, and the more sporty design suit more modern helmet styles like full face ones. These helmets also have larger areas so more custom styles are available so you can sport the Harley logo on your head as well as having the legend between your legs.
