The Thor Amateur Race Team has set the pace for the 2011 season when the 2010 Winter Olympics finished up last week . Thor riders captured 29 championships throughout the weeklong event, and look poised for a very successful 2011 campaign.
One segment of the Thor race team that had a tremendous week in Florida was the Xtreme Rockstar Suzuki Team. With riders like Jeremy Martin and Landon Currier leading the way, the team compiled 13 podium finishes and five championships. Martin collected three championships (Supercross: 250 B Stock & Schoolboy (14-16); Motocross: 250 B Stock) which gets his 2011 season off to a tremendous start. Newcomers to the Xtreme Rockstar Suzuki Team, Justin Summers and Jace Owen each brought home a title as well.
Thor veteran riders Justin Bogle and Cooper Webb were up to their usual winning ways as well. Bogle collected three championships on his new Honda Factory Connection bike. Despite having only six weeks to prepare on the new bike, Bogle's performance earned him the Dunlop Silver Tire Award, which is presented to the expert rider with the highest number of points in both the Supercross and Motocross disciplines.
Cooper Webb again proved that he is the person to beat in the Supermini class by winning three of the four championships. One of the best battles of the week was between Webb and Dakota Alix. You can check out that battle here.
There were plenty of others that showcased their talents all week long. Jordon Smith, Joey Crown, and Tristan Charboneau all brought home titles and helped lead the Thor Amateur Race Team to a very successful week both on and off the track.
